Hi All, hope you are having a nice day
Since it will probably be bought up by a "Multinational" and shelved
I thought you might at least like to hear about the idea:-)
Seems an engineer from Melbourne, Australia has delevoped and engine
the utilizes the "Scottish yoke" concept.
Seems this technique allows one to use a horizontally opposed IC engine
(like the VW or Porsche "boxer" motor) design. The opposing pistons are
linked by a solid conrod. The Scottish yoke then transmits the power to
the crank.
According to claims one can reduce the weigh of a motor by 35 percent
with no loss of power. Apparently a German car manufacturer is the first
to license this technology.
"......and just when we thought the IC motor was dead........"
