subject: F-101 Voodoo retirement

This will be a short addenda to a message I posted earlier. When were the
F-101B Voodoos finally phased out of service?
I remember seeing mentions of them in both Airman and Air Force magazine
back in the late 70's and early 80's when I was in AFJROTC. According to
2/83
Military Balance issue of Air Force Magazine though, they weren't listed in
the US Order of Battle.
I knew most of the 101 interceptors were transferred to USAFR and ANG
units during the late 60's and early 70s, but I can't seem to find any
reference to when they (or the F-102 Delta Dagger) were actually phased out
f
service altogether. I knew a handful of Canadian CF-101Bs soldiered on a bit
longer (pending delivery of sufficent numbers of CF-18s to replace both them
and the CF-104s), but...
One other curiosity. According to Janes Pocket Book of Combat Aircraft
c.1973, the Taiwanese Air Force fielded 25 RF-101As. Yet, no other book I
ave
makes mention of Taiwan ever having Voodoos in their inventory. In fact, most
state that only the US and Canada ever used the 101. Does anyone know
nything
about this one?
Thanks
