I've experienced that.  Not in a while, though.  However, when I was,
I guess, around 2-3 years sober, when I'd get stressed out, I would
be able to *taste* gin.  The first time it happened, it scared the
crap out of me....I rushed home, called my sponsor, who replied with 
a "Oh, that's just a different kind of drink signal".  He calmed me
down, and convinced me that I didn't *have* to ACT on it....that my
disease was just looking for a different way to get me to drink.
