Yup. The motherboard in the computer that you are "testing" lacks
a hardware feature called a "watchdog timer" (there may be a
better technical name for it).

Yup. Replace the motherboard with something a bit better in quality...

By the way, this is a GREAT little bit of code to test prospective
motherboards. Also, this will crash (lockup) WINNT, WIN95 DOS/WINDOWS and
DOS if the motherboard is of inferior quality.

I have two computers, one locks up, the other doesn't, both running os/2.
