RW>>>> car. I remember it well. A waste of a perfectly good
RW>>>> piece of machinery. Although, I would have been happier
RW>>>> to see a Mudstain (Mustang) hit the last set of
RW>>>> barricades and blow to little bitty pieces.

DC>>> I do believe it was _Vanishing Point_

 ml> further searching hasn't turned up what i'm thinking of ;( i
ml> obviously have the title wrong and don't remember much more
ml> than that ending... heck, i can almost see the guy driving the
ml> car... it wasn't steve mcqueen or nick nolte but geez, the
ml> vision in my mind is so faint... it is an "old" movie... late
 ml> 60's or early 70's...

it is _Vanishing Point_ that i'm thinking of... what threw me off is roy's
comment about "last set of barricades"... they were huge
bulldozers, instead...

and i was confusing the title _Vanishing Point_ with another movie with
Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves where KR was an FBI agent working with Nick
Nolte tracking a band of bank robbers that hit only at certain times of the
year... PS and his group were surfers and into various thrill sports like
low opening parachuting... KR got hooked up with them... when they robbed
banks, they called themselves "the dead presidents" cause they
all wore masks of dead presidents...

the imdb doesn't seem to show me anything matching... still searching, though...

[time passes]

found that one, finally... google'd for PS, KR, and NN and saw a reference
that named Gary Busey... changing NN to GB in my imdb search got me what i
was looking for... _Point Break_ is that one and its Gary Busey not Nick
Nolte... i always get them confused %-) and "Point" in both
titles was my initial confusion...
