Hi Mark Magill, hope you are having a nice day

Well, after a couple of days of usage it seems like it's going to
live for now. I stuck a 20 odd foot piece of wirewrap wire on it for
a better ant., and it picks up quite nicely on all bands except for 10M.
I did have to replace the audio out (6AQ5A) though.
What I'd like is to find replacements for all the important parts.
Caps *and* tubes. Especially the tubes... Caps I can get around, but
tubes.... :< Solid state replacements do work, but they're just not
the same somehow. You know?
Meanstwhile, I need to find a SP7T wafer to replace one in the
bandswitching stack that's broken. (nope, that's not the prob w/10M) :<
