subject: F-101 Voodoo & the `Texans`

I have a model of a 1/48th scale F-101 Voodoo that was put out by
onogram
about ten years ago with markings for a Texas ANG squadron known as "The
Texans" that *I believe* was based out of Ellington AFB, Houston. What the
model kit fails to include is the squadron's number.
Is there anyone out there who might know this and/or any worth while
information on the Voodoo itself that might be helpful to me in putting
together this model in the most accurate/detailed manner possible. I do have
several books with information about the 101, but most of it is historical
and technical generalities. Has there been any good books published on this
aircraft in particular that are still in print. In addition to working on the
model, I'm also working on some stories that - to a certain degree - focus on
this warbird. Hence, recollections of pilots and EWO's who flew it on a day
o
day basis would be helpful in those regards.
Thanks...
