| subject: | Anybody using IBM Voicet |
CS>Has anybody tried using IBM Voicetype (formerly IBM >Personal Dictation System) for assistance as an alternative >input device while doing C/C++ programming? If so, I'd be >interested in hearing about it. I've just installed VTD for dictation. I don't do programming so I cant really comment on that side of it. I would expect that you would have some initial problems with acronyms and "unusual" words as it is designed for "normal speech" contexts (I relies of context to resolve "would" and "wood" etc....). However with a bit of "training" it may well be usable. It continually refines its "understanding" of words as you speak them.... I'd try and get a dealer to demo it (might be difficult) or contact your nearest IBM office and press them for a demo (worked for me).... Team OS/2 Richard * QMPro 1.53 * Go places ... Save money...
