Really?  The internal files to 8.04 are dated 01/07/98.
 
I logged into:
 
http://www.thunderbyte.com/download.html on 01/09/98 and downloaded them.
The next morning at 6:54am, I posted them to my BBS (01/10/98).
 
That's pretty fast, in my opinion.  I only wish they had a listserver that
would send out notices to email accounts.  Or do they?  I caught a message
on 01/08/98 on Fido (in this echo, I think), which I printed so I wouldn't
forget it, and the next evening is when I went to the site.
