Well this morning is the day for my class and I am soooooo excited I couldn't
even sleep! Now mind you a major thunder storm added to that sleeplessness
. I have my little tote bag ready... not that I need to bring anything
with me, but I like to bring my own things with me when ever I am doing
something like this! I know there will be other supplies that I will need to
purchase for this craft but I am ready in that department too!
Gail Church gave me a lot of pointers the other night and so I have a
"vague" idea of what I am going to need to get going. I have been playing
around on the paper to get an idea of some things... but I know I am way off
in my understanding of this craft... therefore the class is something that I
will definitly be able to make good use of! This is just soooo exciting...
My cabinets will be in the beginning of next week so I am told by the
builder, so I have begun tearing apart the "loose" organization I have here
right now so that the builder will be able to get to the area where the
cabinets are going... There are fabrics and RS's everywhere right now! and
the worse part is that I can't get to much of anything ... Jerry
tried to close my closet door last night and failed... the closet is just to
jammed up right now with crafting goodies and more and more "stuff" that I
have tried to jam into my closet to make working space...
I am feeling quite terrible that I am behind on making Teresa's block for
this month... but I just cant get to the fabrics I want to use right now
... Heck Brenda and Sandy were all over me during their visit last week
when I was trying to dig through things that were "on the top" of the piles
of things in this room... I will just be glad when things are finished now
so I can get organized some here!
Needless to say I am not doing to much of other crafty things right now as
I wait out the installation of my cabinets.
We had heavy thunder storms early this morning so even working in the yard
today would be a challenge... the ground is just to wet!
I did one other thing last night. I went fishing for a little bit down on
our lake... I had one "bite" that broke my fishing line and got away ..
so with it being dark I had to come in after only a couple of hours ...
and no fish for breakfast ... I am hoping that I will be down at the
lake early in the morning on Sunday... I will have to fight the Canadian
Geese for the dock I am afraid... they like my favorite fishing place and are
so messy that I get a bit pipped at them... hard to believe these birds are
protected under the endangered species laws... there are sooooooo many of
them... Maybe if I made a wall hanging of a Canadian Goose I can get them
to leave my dock in fear????? .. Mind you they are pretty, but they are
also mean and nasty birds. There are so many of them around these parts that
the local cable channel runs a program daily on how to live with and deal
with the Canadian Geese... Do you think that if I did another quilt in
"flying geese" that they would leave???? Some how I don't think that would
make a difference to them but the quilt would be nice
Well it is just about time for me to get dressed to go for my class... I
will write more when I get home later on...
