| subject: | Who gives a fuck anyway? |
Jeff, at 17:53 on Wed, May 03 1995, you wrote to Bill Grimsley ... JG> There were times when I would write replies to those people and JG> then just discard them instead of sending them. It was easier JG> that way. It's even easier this way :-) <--blissful smile. I know it can be bloody hard at times, but becoming emotionally involved in (or more correctly, with) email is all rather pointless (he says, having done so himself on several occasions in the past). I think I fully realised this when RTL started on his Grimsley-bashing campaign over a year ago, and whilst it was bloody annoying at first, I eventually concluded that the only person he was really harming was himself. A bit like Russ, as it happens. JG>> I think you'll agree that I don't care what Rod thinks. BG> Yeah, I think you've made that fairly obvious by now, and you'll BG> have to forgive me for adopting a neutral position WRT this argument. JG> Actually it wasn't an argument. Sorry, "discussion" then. |-) JG> I just never read anything Rod wrote anyway, so why keep it. Those part JG> 1/XXX messages got the flick real quick. Now I don't see them. The only thing which really bothers me about those multi-parters is the extra effort required when replying to them. A royal PITA actually. JG> The only time I did read anything from Rod was when it was addressed to me JG> and they were full of opinionated bullshit anyway. Trouble is, you remove the facts, and you end up with nothing BUT opinion. And everybody is entitled to their own, no matter how wrong they may be. |-) JG> We both agreed that the others opinions were crap (only thing we could JG> agree on :-)) And that's NOT opinionated? ROFL! Don't get me wrong, I can see your point, but I just don't fully agree with it, that's all (another opinion?). |-) BG> Maybe it would be much easier to simply resize your message bases BG> downwards? |-) JG> Resize them so that I can read messages from RTL, EL and RS? Rod and Ed are OK, it's really only RTL who's the problem IMO. You forget that I've known Ron a lot longer than most, and he can be extremely vindictive if he sets his mind to it (and he has already done so in the past, WRT the Brisbug fiasco). I haven't included RC because everybody already knows that he's just a pimply-faced little teenage fuckwit. |-) JG> ROTFL!! I'm sorry Bill, but that broke me up. I wouldn't piss on JG> them if they were on fire, so I'm not changing my setup so I can JG> just ignore all their messages anyway. That truely was funny :-) Harder for me, as I move echomail between nodes, and can't "legally" delete in-transit messages according to whim (not that I would anyway). Anyway, I doubt it will be too long before RTL pisses off to greener pastures, now that almost everybody is completely ignoring him. Arseholes like him NEED an audience to feed their overinflated egos anyway, IMO. JG>> I don't suffer fools gladly. BG> I know exactly what you mean. I won't suffer RTL at all any more. JG> Good. I untwitted him for a while to see if he'd got any better. I bet you were really glad you did that! |-) JG> He hasn't so he's on the list again until I feel like seeing if JG> he's got any better :-) Don't bother. In fact, if it's at all possible, Paul should change the Msged source to hard-code RTL's name as a permanent deletion IMO!
