You assume they would be convicted.  The current US criminal laws do not 
account for enemy combatants.  They are covered by military law.  You 
and your ilk want to make them US citizens,  parade a dozen ACLU lawyers 
into the courtroom,  embarass the US and then allow them to get off on a 
technicality.
