That reminds me of when I was about 16 or 17, and *had* to pass an English 
exam. (About similar to High School Graduation, I think). It was my third 
attempt, and none of the essay subjects appealed to me. The only one that 
seemed faintly possible was "My collection of...".
I wrote about the collection of rubbish in my bedroom, just for the sake of 
writing something, anything, and I passed! :-))
All I can think of is that the marker had teenage children and identified 
with the portrayal I gave of my Mum's exasperation with me...
Perhaps it was an omen... the clutter and rubbish hasn't decreased over the 
years - now I have a whole house to mess up, instead of just one bedroom... 
and it is *definitely* unmanageable!
