PN> Will Dave let you esplain "cat-a-pult?"
An idea my brother and I came up with for chasing away neighboring cats
without perforating them. Among other ideas were the tower of empty soda
cans which would crash down around said feline when it came to intrude,
cats really hate loud noises and things flailing about them...
The Cat-a-pult however is pretty self explainatory, works like a charm,
is silent in operation although the sound a cat makes when unexpectedly
tossed many yards in a graceful arc through the air is something else.
And it doesn't hurt the cat, just scares the bejeepers out of it so it's
terrified of coming back to the area. Works good for neighbors cats whom
you don't really warrant perforation. We set up the aforementioned
aluminum cans though, for some extra noise. Sat down to a game of
Scrabble, and about halfway through we heard it go off. Hellacious
racket, I wish I could have gotten in on tape. We're working on a trip
circuit to fire a camera and strobe just as the cat hits the apogee. :-)
