Your block arrived today and it is just gorgeous!!  You definitely must have
a great stash!!  Thank you sooo much!
For the others:  for my QBE win last month Kathy made me a Friendship Star 
block in purples and creams as I requested.  Her cream is a white-on-cream
(wish I could find some of this type fabric here!) and she used a variety of
purples:  one hand-dyed looking purple, one silver-veined purple, and either
four or five gold-veined purples!  It is just gorgeous.  There is a big 
friendship star and in each of the four corners is another, smaller 
friendship star!  She even used purple thread and embroidered her name, city 
and state on the block!  This one is just absolutely fabulous!!
Kathy, I really adore this block!  As for the purple project, nothing is 
decided yet.  I love purple and decided that I want to do a purple quilt, but
it will have to wait till I get the things done by next weekend (a bargello 
skirt-almost done, a sleeve and a label for a quilt, washing two quilts) for 
Assembly Day.  Then I have 3 quilts to do for my 3 nieces for Christmas!  
YACK!
