~> I didn't say Mathews didn't publicize the name, I said he didn't *broadcast* ~> it because his show is not *broadcast*. Cutting through all the back-and-forth crap on this, there are at least three problems with what you DID say. First, it is wrong, as I already pointed out. Cable networks BROADCAST their programs. Your earlier remark tried to muddy the waters by adding in an "airwaves" qualification, but you dropped it out this time. The cable networks are BROADCAST. Don't believe me? Ask THEM. "Hardball with Chris Matthews will broadcast live from the historic hotel's Grand Lobby." "CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, will broadcast a two-hour, live Super Tuesday special." Just a few of the thousands of examples one can find in a few seconds. Second problem, it is irrelevant to the point of the thread. Klahn blamed Limbaugh for identifying the name. Since you realize that it was Chris Matthews who publicized the name, your point was less than a quibble. And the third and most damning problem is that you tried to offer Klahn a shallow twist of semantics to make his point seem legitimate, and even Klahn (the shallowest twister of semantics in fidonet) didn't agree with it!!! Even he says that Chris Matthews BROADCAST it on his CABLE show: EC> Matthews did BROADCAST it and he BOBZO> Yes, no one denied that. Now that the sidetrack has been closed, we can resume the actual thread.... --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5a* Origin: FidoTel & QWK on the Web! www.fidotel.com (1:124/311) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 11/200 331 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 187 140/1 226/0 SEEN-BY: 236/150 249/303 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1418 266/1413 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 320/119 396/45 633/260 267 712/848 801/161 189 2222/700 SEEN-BY: 2320/100 105 5030/1256 @PATH: 124/311 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
