Yes, I did connect and the negotiation started but the connection is dropped
for some reason.

We need to figure out what the reason is.

I don't know for sure but I don't think Synchronet did that, and if it did it
would log the activity and IP.

If you can get binkd up on some out of the way port I could try that and then
we can rule out SBBS or Binkit.
