I posted some stuff about the above problem in here a couple of weeks ago.
My AR1000 had the same problem, and cleaning the keypad/PCB does not cure
it. You will have to fit a new keypad, which costs about five pounds in the
UK.
Let me know if you want more details, but be aware my boss is closing down
at the end of the month, and that may mean the end of Fidonet forever in
this area :-((
