Palin is quitting being the governor of the biggest damn state in the US,
and may be the state with the most oil and natural gas. (Not sure on the
latter.)

She thought it'd all be a walk in the park, she could wink and act the
bimbo, and no one would call her on it.
Politics ain't like that.
Everything including outright slander and libel, no matter what party, is
