i don't know as i didn't do that when binkd had the capability of this... there
is some info in the FAQ concerning how to do dialup to internet... that may
contain some hints... probably not, though... there was, however, a way to do
it... i remember clearly reading it and noting the comments about binkd not
really being designed to work over it but it was possible and it did work...
zmodem works over IP, too... i use it all the time... in some cases, via shell
accounts, directly over TCP/IP and (most commonly) via an ssh or telnet
connection... the main factor being that those working zmodem implementations
have been adjusted to relax some of their timing to account for delays that are
inherent in IP connectivity... frontdoor was one of the first to get this right
and that carried over into their protocol engine which several bbses used for
their internal transfer protocols...

 MvdV> Sorry, you are unconvincing.

whatever... the documentation is still out there, i'm sure... it is several
years old, though... i have a copy here, somewhere... i certainly wouldn't
mention any of it if it weren't true... i don't play stupid games like that and
you should know that after all these years...

then simply don't respond to those posts or those portions of those topics...
easy...
