Replying to a message of Carol Shenkenberger to Bj”rn Forsstr”m: CS> *** Quoting Bj”rn Forsstr”m from a message to Carol Shenkenberger *** BF>>> If it's gray it's the salt in the saltwater and that is easily BF>>> removed CS>> The grey in my hair or on the mast? . Anyways, it was mostly CS>> change out the preservative and check the connections. BF>> I wouldn't do that for all money in the world. Don't have any use of BF>> i grave. I'm terrible afraid of heights. CS> Not a good thing to have in my job! Thats ok though, some of the guys CS> are as well so we give them the other jobs to make up for it. Lots CS> of the antennas are at no more than 20 feet up and quite a few you CS> can reach just standing on a chair. CS> When we have alot of work, the guys who have no head for heights CS> (oddly in my experience, it's always been guys with that problem, CS> never women) take the antennas after we dismount them and refurbish CS> them. I get very nervous on a ladder when I'm more than about ten feet up. Oddly enough, when I was flying in EC-47s (www.ec47.com) I could stand just inside the open paratroop door and watch the scenery go by 5,000 or more feet straight down and it didn't bother me (and not wearing a chute, either). I'm going to have a major problem next summer because I have to repaint (scrape/wire brush, prime, paint) my 22x40 foot 2 story house. The top of the walls outside is about 25 feet above ground - and 30 feet to the peak on one end. It's not going to be fun, but it *has* to be done. --- FleetStreet 1.19+* Origin: Bob's Boneyard, Emerson, Iowa (1:2905/3) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 2905/3 14/0 5 140/1 123/500 379/1 633/267 |
