1. You should not "lock" DTE with SU.EXE - Let your comm. application do the 
"locking" job.
2. It is your Internet feed provider that is responsible for the lower 
performance, not PPP.EXE (slippm.exe is _not_ a driver, it is a launcher for 
PPP).

There are a couple CAPI OS/2 drivers available, check 2:236/438.
