Personally, I would say if he's had no problems with the car, and he's
been keeping up on the maintainence, then keep the car. Well-maintained
autos are known to last for 10+ years. The average milage (in my
opinion) is about 12,000 per year, but as long as you care for the car
properly, it can last for years.
