Hi Duncan, DC> This doesn't have to do with programming for OS/2 but it is DC> about the programming of OS/2. I have read that OS/2 DC> creates virtual machines each with 4GB of memory. If I am correct NT DC> creates a virtual machine for each app. First off Duncan, you have to think about this. 2 four GIG sets of memory? That would mean you would have some combination of 8 Gigs of ram/hard drive space. Anyone with that much power wouldn't be using os/2. Each and every DOS program get's it's own virtual machine. Windows programs can either run under one virtual machine, or under several virtual machines, at your option. If I understand the OS/2 programs right (and I probably don't) they each get their own virtual machines also, but they are different from the dos and windows programs.
