Ok, so that's the big concern then that someone is going to move the files
and break the system. At least I understand what it is that you have to
watch out for.

Perhaps I don't see it as much of a problem because all the db I've done
with images (using pointers) are for websites where if you change the path
of anything it all breaks..

Seems to me though that if you are using file shares to get to the files
then directory services would make it pretty easy to move files without
changing the path to them.

Geo. (guess it makes it easy to change the path without moving the files as well)
