| subject: | [WWE] Our ratings. |
Message-ID: Thanks to CRZ for the results; it helps not to have to take copious notes. Thanks also to Hackman for coming up with the dollar ratings. Unlike him, though, round ratings to the nearest quarter, and don't rate the backstage skits. BTW, who is Stu, and why should he fear CRZ? > 1... Dudley Boyz > Rey Mysterio vs. Bubba Ray Dudley > Rob van Dam D-Von Dudley > > van Dam (15'19" frog splash -> pin) D-Von This is the only prediction I got wrong; with the Dudley's push and heel turn, I thought they would be booked to win. Me: $1.50 Mary: $0.50 > 2... Torrie Wilson (6'16" backslide -> pin) Dawn Marie I think that Tough Enough contestants in their third week of training could have put on a better match. Please keep Tori and Dawn Marie as valets or whatever, and out of the ring. Me: $0.25 (for the torn costume; DM was lucky to be wearing a thong under it. Mary: $0.25 > 3... Mordecai (3'02" crucifix bomb -> pin) Scotty 2 Hotty *yawn* Me: $0.00 Mary: $0.25 > 4... WWE tag team champions > Rico vs. Hardcore Holly > Charlie Haas Billy Gunn > > Haas (10'27" Rico superkick into sunset flip -> pin) Holly Me: $2.00 Mary: $0.75 > 5... Chavo Guerrero (4'49" Gory bomb -> pin) Jacqueline > Guerrero regains WWE cruiserweight championship Did anyone think that Jacqueline would actually win again? Me: $0.50 Mary: $0.25 > 6... WWE United States Champion John Cena (9'55" FU -> pin) Rene > Dupree I couldn't decide ahead of time who would win, and called it a toss up. Half way through the match, I decided that Cena would win. Me: $2.00 Mary: $0.75 > 7... Undertaker (11'27" Tombstone -> pin) Booker T I have seen both of them do much better than this; the false finishes were the only things that saved it from getting a zilch from me. Me: $0.75 Mary: $1.25 > 8... John Bradshaw Layfield (23'11"? DQ) WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero Wow! I haven't seen so much blood since Undertaker and Lesnar's Hell in the Cell match. This is by far the best match that I've seen Layfield do, and to my surprise it was not all due to Eddie carrying him. I'd give JBL a 20-25% share of the credit for the match. Me: $5.00 Mary: $2.00 Totals Me: $12.00 Mary: $ 6.00 The show cost $40, so Mary and I spent $20 each. We did not get our money's worth for this show. This was by far the worst PPV we've seen; we started watching PPVs in July 2001. -- Stop Mad Cowboy Disease: Vote for John Kerry. --- Internet Rex 2.29* Origin: The gateway at Swills (1:555/5555) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 555/5555 229/3000 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
