| subject: | threads ? how many can I do? |
> How many threads can os/2 realistically handle before it slows down to much? > I'm designing a game for os/2 in which I intend to anywhere between 100 to > 200 threads... is this even realistic? Can os/2 deal out timeslices very > fast to 200 individual threads? Depends on several things. What are the threads doing, and what are their priorities? Basically, if you want snazzy response from threads, give them a high priority and have them block on a semaphore when they're not needed. P.S. There's a "threads=" type parameter in config.sys which defaults to something rediculously low.
