subject: Losing Team

CO York Mets fans were a group of people that were unhappy with the amount
CO of losses their team has at the start of the season. And not to mention
I am a Phillies fan, but don't start feeling sorry for me yet.
There are a lot of good things happening on the field even if the win
column does not look so impressive. Scott Rolen at third base is a
legitimate phenom. He has turned in a few spectacular plays in the field
in this young season. Rico Brogna at first has also been playing at
potential gold glove caliber. He has saved some of the other infielders
throwing errors with his spectacular catches. Mickey Moradini and Kevin
Stocker round out a young player base that will be interesting to watch
develop over the years.
I think the Phillies are moving in the right direction getting
athletic young players who can develop into solid players. Wendell Magee
was an outstanding football player in college and Scott Rolen was
outstanding in other sports as well. As soon as Wendell figures out how to
hit ML pitching he will be an impressive player .
Anyhow, the point I am trying to make, is that there are a lot of
things worth watching if you pay close attention. Winning the game just
puts some icing on the cake. If I want to see a winner, I'll watch the
Wilmington Blue Rocks, who had the highest winning percentage in minor
league ball last year. As a matter of fact, I have tickets for this
Wednesday. See you at the ball park!
