Neither did I, but I know at least two friends who did, and having seen one
of their "mistakes" in the flesh (so to speak), I'm not surprised
that he couldn't pick the difference in the dimly-lit club.  Anyway, this
was all 25 years ago, so perhaps things have changed?  Does the Taxi Club
even exist any more?  It used to be located just past Oxford Square, on the
road towards the SCG, and was a frequent port of call when I lived in Paddo
(Stewart St) in 1968.
