CO of a game due to rain. Though i am a Cardinal fan, that i feel pretty
CO low not supporting the Cardinals all the way through to the world series
I see from the origin line that you are posting from New Jersey.
Does that make it difficult to follow the Cardinals?
The small portable radio that I use to listen to Phillies games
recently died and I went to the nearest Best Buy store to see what was
available in the cheap portable radio market. I ended up buying a GE Super
Radio III because is was advertised as being long range and having a very
selective am tuner. It was a little larger than what I was looking for,
but the selectivity was what caught my eye. I live less than a mile away
from a local radio tower and it tends to wash out all but the strongest
stations.
In just a few nights of playing around, I have listened to the
following MLB broadcasts. They all come in strong enough to enjoy the play
by play.
KMOX St. Louis Cardinals around 1100KZ log scale 6.8
       WJR Detroit Tigers 760 4.5
WMBP Chicago White Sox 1000 6.3
WABC New York Yankees 770 4.6
WBAL Baltimore Orioles around 1100 6.7
       WPHT Philadelphia Phillies 1210 6.9
I invite any other play by play fans to list Radio stations.
MLB just moved to block internet transmission of games through real audio.
The internet at least gave die hard fans a way of tuning into games when no
other means was available. Way to go MLB * Origin: Shadow Warrior Wilmington Blue Rocks! (1:150/500.0)
