 Paul if you can get the MARS/CAP mod info just reverse it.
 The Yaesu FT-212RH should already have the wide band recieve in it from the
factory and all you need to do is reverse the MARS/CAP TX mod to get 2m TX
only.
 If you can't find it let me know and I'll see if I have it here somewhere 
and send you a copy via netmail ro E-mail.
 I collect modification info as it always helps to know how the modifactions
are done for a given chassis,to be able UN-do them after someone goes playing 
around in a radio.
