As I've already written to Martin, it make more sense to do a full rewrite with
fpc than using old components.

Just open a github repo, and we'll start a rewrite.
My skills with pascal are not very high, but to support an compile a new fido
packet deluxe for OS/2 and Linux/Unix it might be ok.
