Dave Appel spoke in tediously arrogant tones to Daniel Digriz:
DD>I have the P-1 (the East German P-38), steel - not alloy - frame.
DA> Is this an "original" P-38 or a modern gun made in the
DA> same pattern?
As I said, it is a P-1. A P-1 is not an "original" P-38 - it is identical to
the P-38 but with the East German rather than Nazi designation. What I have
is an "original" P-1.
DA> Even if it's a modern made gun on the classic P-38 design,
DA> it would be sacreligious to alter it.
I don't see why. They are quite plentiful since the cache of "captured"
P-38's was "discovered" in a Russian salt mine.
DA> Based on the questions you've asked in this thread, it
DA> appears you still have a bit to learn about armed
DA> self-defense and the appropriate guns and ammo for that
DA> purpose.
I think your comments are presumptuous, given that you are asking me if my
P-1 is an "original" P-38. In any case, I have no use for your condescension
and little patience for your historical
ignorance. Thanks, but I need none of your advice.
DA> But the P-38 is not a small gun anyway, is it?
It may be, very shortly.
