Is there a short list of reasons somewhere why I might be interested?

I continue to use Winamp Classic and/or RealOne V2 and/or MusicMatch =
V7.x, depending on the task, and past releases of WMP were quite simply =
not remotely competitive with these products, function-wise. (I.e. I = gave
up caring a long time ago.)

Also, without MP3 support, I don't care from the get-go. Does WMP V9 =
finally provide MP3 support?

For those that care, the final WMP9 can be downloaded from =
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/player.aspx. The =
final Encoder, SDKs, et al are also available. The player supports =
Windows 98 SE, Windows Me, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.
