Hey Jim, I have a Pro-26 and I think it is an 'okay' scanner.
What do you want to do with it?
I use mine on a daily basis and for the most part I am happy with it.
I am not happy with the quality of the audio it puts out through it's
built-in speaker, it is just not that great of a sound whe compared to other
scanners I have owned, or currently do own. I have not looked into WHY it
does not sound better, but I will, someday.
The Pro-26 also has an annoying problem of locking on a signal and loosing it
a second or two later only to find it again and lock on it again. This is
not just my unit, I have tried 4 others and have talked with almost 20 other
people who claim the same problem. It only happens when it is in the close
proximity of strong RF fields. My computer is one of those (and yes, it is
sheilded and has chokes on everything, and is grounded) and yet it does not
effect any other radios I own, or even a frequency counter until it is within
a foot of it.
It is also not quite as sensitive to weak signals as even the old Pro-34, but
I found that to be antenna related more than anything. Bought another lil'
ducky for it and things are much better in regards to that.
Don't know enough about the Pro-60 to even make a suggestion, other than...
If the guy wants to trade straight across, the Pro-26 is worth more...
Good luck,
