| subject: | HELP WITH WATCOM |
Hi everybody, I have recently converted over to Watcom. Previously, I was using Borland C++ 4.0 for my DOS/Windows programming, and EMX for OS/2. I have a few questions about things that I cannot seem to be able to do in Watcom that I could do in Borland C++ or EMX. First thing. Put a specific image onto the screen in text mode. The image would be a direct copy of DOS video memory. (Specifically, a C save file from TheDraw). I believe Borland had a puttext() function or something to do this. I need a function that will work in both DOS and OS/2. Secondly, how to get a copy of everything on the screen, including attributes. I believe the function in Borland was gettext(). This would let me save a copy of the screen and later restore it. Any help would be very much appreciated! -- John Goerzen ... compiled, first screen came up, ship it!!! * RM 1.3 02214 * --- AdeptXBBS v1.02pr* Origin: Communications Complete BBS 316-367-8490 (1:291/51) SEEN-BY: 105/42 620/243 711/401 409 410 413 430 807 808 809 934 955 712/407 SEEN-BY: 712/515 628 704 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 291/11 3615/50 396/1 270/101 105/103 42 712/515 711/808 809 934 |
