Yep, that would be right. From what I have read and the pictures I've seen 
there is absolutely no sign of a ring on a female. The books do say that a 
juvenile male will look like a female. The neckring just started to show in 
the last couple weeks.The books say that the markings will start to appear 
about age 2, so he would be right on time.
