then there would be no posts. You can pick up useful tidbits along the
way, by reading between the lines. Useful programs such as FTP07
(hadn't heard of that one), RLFOSSIL, Connex, MS-Kermit, PC/TCP,
IVT....
Then you have to go digging on your own. For example, EPPPD is the
Carnegie Mellon Ethernet Peer-To-Peer PPP client daemon that is loadable
*FROM DOS* as a TSR program, in both Ethernet Card and Modem Serial
varieties. It is never stated that Carnegie Mellon University has a DOS
PPP TSR driver all ready to go. EPPPD is just bandied back and forth.
The readers pick up the crumbs from the food fight. If there was
no fighting, no information would be posted here for the most part. I
can describe it best as trying to read a book underwater.
