Use SHFileOperation. This is assuming you want an API. If you want =
a utility use XCOPY /O. Also look at XCOPY /X.

The following question was posted:
http://www.ntdev.org/archive/ntdev9902/msg0161.html
"Does anyone know of an equivalent to the Win32 CopyFile call which=20
reserves the source file's ACL's (I.e. security data on which=20
users/groups may do what to the file) and duplicates it for the=20
destination file?"
My question: Are there any utilities/services that would do this via=20
the network? =20
A friend has a Peered LAN that contains an aging file server. He is=20
currently installing another to that its place. He doesn't wish to =
stop=20
the old until the new is replicated. The old is NT 4.0 and the new is =
W2K.
Secure Copy (http://www.smallwonders.com/SecureCopy.htm) would do but=20
too expensive for possible one time use.
=20
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
