I don't believe so, if they were it would address some of the issues I see.
I'm here to learn though Thees, I've never used blobs before so I don't
really know a whole lot about the specifics of how the database handles
them. However I've been going under the assumption that the whole database
will be one large file and the transaction log will be another. (hopefully
with one on one set of physical disks/scsi channels and the other on
another set).
