Actually, I'm leaning towards buying a juvenile or young adult bird.
Not that I have anything against babies, but I think it would be
easier to tell a bird's disposition, as you say. I really don't want
too young a bird, as I suspect they need more care than a juvenile or
young adult needs. I'll even consider a "used-problem-parrot" if I
think the problem is something I can modify. I'll just have to play it
by ear...
... Don't question authority; it doesn't know either.
