Hello,

About 5 years ago I found an MP3 available for download via the web 
which contained about 30 minutes of audio clips of radio news reports of 
John Lennon's murder.  The guy who'd designed the webpage said that it 
was made from audio tapes that he himself had recorded at the time.  One 
short report seems to have been recorded within the hour of the event.

I still have this material but can neither remember nor relocate where I 
got it.  Does anybody else have this same MP3 that was made available in 
2000?  I've never found anything quite like it content-wise before or since.

There is a stretch of about 5 minutes where you can just barely make out 
what's being said in the background - as if the tape recorder was 
recording the news with an open mic from another room.

There are also bits of Larry King talking about John Lennon and The 
Beatles during his broadcast that night.
