But where does it say in FTS-9 the address has to the "Originating
Network"?

Why does it have to be that way? Whats the logic?

What I say, it should be a "Primary Contact" address.  There should be
no stipulation (and they isn't anywhere in FTS or FSC) that it has to
"match" something.

Yes, in fidonet, it should "default" be an "valid address" in the
originating network.

But authors are already using the MSGID to contain an internet address
and my software is read-aware of this.

I personally like the idea that a MSGID should be a "primary contact"
point.
