    Hi David,

GT>I know some of you use the Watcom compiler so maybe you could enlighten
GT>me on the OS/2 2.1 toolkit that's suppose to be included with it.

GT>Firstly what exactly is the Toolkit ?

DN> It is a set of documents in .INF format, some C/C++ header files for
DN> API calls and and import library (OS2386.LIB) that maps the 32-bit API
DN> calls to their DLL's and ordinals.

Yes I've recieved a couple of replies now and it appears that I have
     it installed.

GT>I read in one of the inf files that after installation a toolkit icon
GT>would be on my Desktop. Not in my case anyway.

DN> It is a selectable option when you install Watcom C/C++.

     Which I'm positive I selected !

DN> I use the OS/2 Developer's Toolkit from the Dev Con CD, so I'm not
DN> sure what the Watcom toolkit install looks like.

Doesn't look like much at all from the outside :-))))

GT>There is a directory named the OS2 toolkit but there is
 GT>only *.C files in there,
 GT>Is this correct ?

DN> The only .C files should be samples. There should also be some .INF
 DN> files in a \BOOK or \HELP directory, possibly under x:\WATCOM\BINP. The
DN> header files should be in the directory x:\WATCOM\H\OS2 and the import
DN> library should be in x:\WATCOM\LIB386.

Yes they all seem to be there thanks.

GT>So far I haven't found any info that addresses using the
 GT>toolkit at all. Is this
GT>the same for everyone else ?

DN> I'm not sure. Are you sure you selected the OS/2 Developer's Toolkit
DN> when you installed the Watcom compiler?

     Yeah positive.
George White has version 11 which is the same as mine and I've found
everything he has told me about, so I must have it ! :-)))

     Thanks David,
     Glenn.
