 Nope I am a firm believer in NO Grit for any of my birds.  Grit is for those
 birds that do not shell their own seed.  Any bird that does shell its own
 seed does not need grit.
 I have an 18 yr old Amazon, and three six year old budgies. I have had
 these birds their since they were babies. None of them have been given grit.
 The grit or no-grit debate is a good one.
