From: John Beckett Gary Britt wrote in message news:: > What is the advantage of the XP luna start menu over classic start menu? I might have used incorrect terminology. Like any sane person, I hate themes that put large, inscrutable icons everywhere. By "classic", I meant the config change that reverts the Start menu back to how it was in Win2000 - no recently-used apps or pinned apps, and no access to Control Panel via a menu. The XP Start menu does quite a nice job of showing frequently-used apps, and is configurable to, for example, "pin" Command Prompt to the main menu. You can right-click the menu items for useful functions. Actually, I forget what you could not do in Win2000, I just know that whereas the new XP Start menu was just as shocking to me as it was to everyone else, I now find the Win2000 menu (when I rarely come across it) to be less useful ... although I can't quite remember all its slight issues.
