Yoo Hoo, BRUCE!
On December you wrote to CAROL KOSTER:

Uhhhhh.... yeah right.... ;-) I miss "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" WDW
MK attraction too, Bruce. Now sit down over here and Nurse Ratchet will
bring you your medication shortly. ;-)
Seriously: Does anyone miss the "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" attraction
at WDW's MK, or was it outdated and cheesey and people are glad it's
closed? Thoughts? (Closed because the floor of the attraction was cracking
and leaking water to the room areas below, and deemed to be too expensive
to re-hab, a Little Mermaid meet-greet area is there now.) I love that old
Disney live action movie, and I think the Nautilus is one of the coolest
submarine designs! Disneyland Paris has a walk-in attraction where you
actually go into the Nautilus and see what it is like. The WDW attraction
as a ride was "OK" but it would have been neat to have Disney fix and update
it and put in high tech stuff to make it a thrilling ride (imagine a huge
audio-animatronic squid attacking the Nautilus, like in the movie!). I
miss most the silhouette of the Nautilus's in that pool. The last time we
were at WDW I made a special "penny wish" from the Sky Buckets into 20K
(20K=short acronym for "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" WDW MK attraction)
for good luck. Anyone else, what do you think, like/dislike, opine about
20K, either the ride or the movie and how the ride imitates the movie or not?
Ever on Disney topic ;-),
