Only indirectly.  Unless you can find a previously undiscovered part of
"Eberhard Mattes" that is spelled with an "X".  (-:

The _direct_ derivation is from the name of the DOS extender.  The name of
the DOS extender is what is actually derived from the author's name
("Eberhard Mattes eXtender", I believe).
