Well, there's plenty of decent Bowie but very little
on-topic. Care to switch this over to the CD_ECHO?

There's also a really good version of "IEDHaH" on the
Bryan Ferry live video that he did in Paris, I think it
        was called _New Town_.

Roxy was better with edges IMO and over time they were
all smoothed down. They started out great, with David
O'List from the Nice on lead guitar, Eno on synth.
Gradually they got less and less weird, more and more
pop. They were still a good live band for a long time,
though, even if Manzanera's solos could give you permanent
ear damage. Speaking of which, you need a copy of Quiet
Sun _Mainstream_ if you haven't got one; it was a very
good prog band with Manzanera on guitar and the excellent
Bill MacCormick (Matching Mole, 801) on bass.

CR> I haven't heard any Moby Grape, and I'll guess by your description

THere's some debate as to how wonderful they are and I'm
never one to insisst all agree with me, but I think
they're probably not very far up your alley.

KN> Kraan are a band you keep with you
KN> for a long time, rather than a passing infatuation.

CR> Hmm, nice to hear. I was thinking about getting some more. What do
 CR> you recommend?

All of them. Kraan never put out a bad album. Even stuff
like the solo album by bassist Helmut Hatler _Baseball
Game_ is worth having (it's basically another Kraan album).

However, I usually recommend people start off on Kraan
with the double live album _Kraan Live_. But in general
buy whatever you can find, you can't go wrong.

NP: Yes _Tormato_ which is a much better album than we thought it
was at the time.

                                Cheers,
                                Kenneth
