Subject: independant travel for the blind
Fellow federationists and friends,
I don't know how many of you subscribe to Access-l but I've been carying
on quite a discussion with some individuals advocating for the use of
tactile footpaths for the blind.  Why is it that in just about every other
area of blindness skills we are willing to advocate for improved training
and increased use of these skills by the blind, but when the matter of
independant travel is ciscussed some folks go all to pieces; even seasoned
travelors advocate for such trash as well?  Just food for thought.
